While I understand the point of this post, it’s not true. A new gen Xbox costs at least 400 to 500 bucks. I see the point they’re making, but they’re still wrong.

Maybe people would be more sympathetic towards shoplifters if they weren’t middle-upper-class suburban kids stealing designer clothes, electronics, games, etc. with some pseudo-anti capitalist spiel about how they’re “”really helping”” people that are poor and minorities.

rainbowloliofjustice

Hi, still relevant

Fuck shoplifters for using poor people and minorities to gain things for themselves while screwing over retail workers by adding to shrinkage loss which eventually contributes to a loss of hours being able to be allocated to the store (which results in lower paychecks for employees) and in worst cases causing the store to be closed down.

Shoplifting literally only hurts customers and employees, CEOS are completely unaffected by you shoplifting makeup and designer clothes. Those bullshit anti-theft tags that require you to get an employee to remove are y'all fucking fault <3

You are literally not defeating capitalism.

rainbowloliofjustice

An addition to this <3

The only people who support frivolous shoplifting are those who most likely can afford to use mommy and daddy’s money to get out of jail if they get caught.

To any retail employees who want to come and say that they’ve never been negatively impacted by it… Congrats on thinking your experiences are completely universal and that every store only has to deal with maybe one or two shoplifters a week as opposed to people possibly stealing hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of things within a month if not a few weeks!

rainbowloliofjustice

Anywho I’m back with another addition

If you choose to shoplift to “fight the system” as opposed to actually shedding some blood, sweat and tears fighting for better rights you’re a coward :)

If you think the only people who shoplift are just one or two teenagers occasionally stealing a makeup pallet you are an idiot <3

Most shoplifters can 100% afford whatever they’re stealing but instead just choose not to uwu especially the upper middle class suburbian kids (both mentally and physically) I mentioned in my original post

You also cannot “eat the rich” while doing something that literally has no impact on them. :) Rich CEOS are literally unaffected by shoplifting because they have no issues just closing down a store or pulling from employee bonuses to pay for inconvenient anti-theft measures. You are not eating the rich <3 you’re just stepping on other working class people for them

uwu you can say that it isn’t your fault the CEO did that just to escape the guilt but I just want you to know one thing…

It is <3

mudkimp

And to anyone arguing that the employees aren’t actually affected by shoplifting, you are in fact wrong.

the-davest-of-uncles

I wish all shoplifters a very rot in jail.

Why why why can’t people just understand that the implication of Pan being “attraction to all genders.” Is the implication that Bi people see gender. Its implying that we don’t date the exact same pool of people Pan people do. It’s literally not that hard to understand why some Bi people would be upset with that implication and bisexuality being stuffed into a restrictive box when our label has always been about attraction outside of the binary.

clicking on ‘callout posts’ here is wild because there’s like, a 90% chance it’ll be something like ‘they once reblogged a post from someone who follows someone who drew amethyst as white’ and a 10% chance that it will be like ‘stole a human being’s kidney in an alleyway’

goosegoblin

honestly though there is something very deeply and sincerely odd about making posts or google docs or entire blogs linking screenshots of every slightly questionable thing a person has ever said, sometimes stretching back to their early teenage years, and using this as a sign that they are a Deeply Bad Person and that anyone in their radius is tainted by being in their presence. like. this is abnormal behaviour, folks.

goosegoblin

some of you will make post after post about the importance of kindness and community and then suicide bait someone for using a questionable word a decade ago when they were thirteen years old and i need you to understand that you are not the good guy in these interactions

i see a lot of ‘i want to steal his gender’ on tiktok and that perfectly encapsulates how gender has become a synonym for ‘style’ or ‘fashion.’ how did we go from ‘clothing has no gender’ to thinking your fashion choices determine your gender

just-tree-thoughts

Keep talking shit and I’m gonna steal your gender

7upofficial

you think you have the fashion sense to do so? lol

lifeofcynch

op is right here. let’s maybe stop gendering fashion? kinda ironic that she’s “gender critical” though. like girl you’re essentially just like the people you’re talking about because you both think gender is fake… you’re all dumbasses. gender roles are fake, gender is real.

As an mlm person who grew up in fandom spaces, I can say that it’s a lot more complex than this. Fetishizing is a lot more than just sexualizing, especially in this context. The way fandoms tend to treat mlm stuff overall, even when it’s not being sexualized, is still so fucking weird and genuinely kinda damaging sometimes klsdfhakjsdas

and I idc, I can say with all confidence that lesbians can be guilty of this shit too. There are plenty of lesbians in fandom spaces who treat mlm ships real fucking poorly. This counts for asexual people too. People aren’t instantly exempt from making mistakes just because they have a specific sexuality.
Sadly there are some mlm people in fandom spaces that are so used to this stuff that they kinda perpetuate it. I feel bad for them, because as someone who was like that, and has grown out of it, I can say it is actual harmful to mlm people, especially to go through and perpetuate, that fucked with me and my image of myself and my sexuality for a long time.

I’m not saying all mlm shipping is inherently fetishistic or harmful or that non-mlm people are instantly bad for doing it, I’m just saying, mlm people aren’t shitty or “bigoted” or “oversensitive” for calling for critique of fandom spaces. I am begging yall to please just watch the way you act and treat representation. Please put yourself under a microscope if you have to, but STOP looking at fandoms and their handling of mlm through rose colored glasses.

funny how the internet is either, “Omg, you LIKE men?? Get well soon” or “AWW MY LIL GAYBIES UWU” with little to no inbetween, and when actual queer men call this shit out, we’re called assholes. Please stop talking over us.

You're right. I'm sorry. I posted this out of frustration with how nonheteronormative relationships are so often singled out as perverse by society as a whole in media, but I overlooked the fact that the fandoms have had a hand in their long history of fetishizing mlm couples. I just want nonheteronormative relationships to be treated equally and respectfully, but you're right, we can't get there without having these kinds of honest discussions about the mistakes we've made.

yep

  • cheat in solitaire.
  • listen to the world.
  • make up your own gods and pray to them.
  • think about chuck e cheese.
  • stare at a wall.

  • don't take yourself too seriously. if you're playing solitaire, a game against yourself, there's no harm in making it easier for yourself.
  • i got my hearing aides today, and it astounds me what people don't talk about. they talk about the sound of the rain, or a creaky door, but not the sound of pouring milk in a glass, or the sound of a hedgehog eating, or the sound of carbonation.
  • genuinely just. make up your own explanation for the universe. i make up gods on the daily to explain the little things, and when im hurt or need help, i toss a prayer out into the universe. they're not real, i know that, but they're a good scapegoat for my problems.
  • it doesn't have to be chuck e cheese, just somewhere that brought you joy as a kid. somewhere you felt unbridled joy. someplace childhood felt potent, where you let yourself be a kid.
  • sometimes you just gotta let yourself go braindead. staring at a wall helps.
